2027: Otti & LP to Sweep Abia Early, Says Lawmaker Onwusibe

My people, the political temperature in Abia State is already heating up, even though 2027 still feels a bit far away. Federal lawmaker, Honourable Ginger Onwusibe, representing Isiala Ngwa North/South, has dropped a bombshell, confidently stating that come 2027, the Labour Party (LP) and Governor Alex Otti will sweep Abia State before 2 PM on election day!

Abia’s Trust: Otti’s Ace Card for 2027

Honourable Onwusibe isn’t just blowing hot air; he believes this will happen if the elections are free and fair. According to him, Governor Otti has already won the hearts and trust of Abians, making him the clear favourite for the next gubernatorial race. This trust, he argues, is the Labour Party’s biggest asset.

In his words, delivered from Ohafia, Onwusibe stressed that the Labour Party in Abia is banking on its solid achievements. This is a stark contrast, he pointed out, to the alleged alliance between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, who he claims are relying on their connections to the ruling party at the federal level.

No Fear for the Alliance: LP’s Confidence Soars

You know how politicians like to form alliances, especially when an election is around the corner. But Onwusibe says the Labour Party faithful and other Abia residents are not moved by this PDP-APC handshake across the aisle. He’s convinced that under a genuinely free and fair electoral process, the Labour Party will dominate all 184 wards in Abia State, sealing their victory early.

“Under a free and fair election, Labour Party before 2 O’clock on the election day must have won the 184 polling Wards in the State. The Governor has earned the trust of the people,” Onwusibe reiterated. He also took a jab at the opposition, hinting at their alleged reliance on rigging. “They are all thinking that the election will be rigged. They think because they are the party in the centre they are going to rig election but I can tell you that would not happen in Abia,” he declared with conviction.

It seems the stage is set for an interesting political showdown in Abia come 2027. With such strong declarations, it will be fascinating to see how things unfold. Will Governor Otti and the Labour Party truly achieve this early victory? Only time will tell, but one thing is clear: the political pot in Abia is boiling!
